Find everything you need for your little ones this Christmas | Great Little Children Trading Company

A while back I was just browsing the internet, as you do, and I stumbled across this website called 'Great Little Trading Company'. As soon as I clicked on it, I was hooked! It is one of those websites that you can spend ages on and want to make sure you've seen every item on the website. Not only looking but also adding everything in your basket, then realising you are about to spend a small fortune on toys. Then you ask yourself; am I buying these for me or MeMe?! Ok, so before I carry on, I just want to say that I have not been sponsored by this company to do this post, I just genuinely love this website!

Below are some of my favourites that I will hopefully be getting MeMe for Christmas and my Nieces and Nephews.

Sweet Pea Play Kitchen

I think this is so adorable!! I think Melissa might be too young for this now, but this is something that she will play with and last for many years to come. It's £158, but for the quality of it I think it's a reasonable price. It also comes in different colours.

Toy Garage

What little boy wouldn't love this. It's got cars, ramps, lifts, everything to keep him amused.

Shopping Trolley

MeMe absolutely loves pushing anything around, especially her pram. She tries to put as much stuff in her pram as possible, so I just know she would love this! It's £49 and I know you can get cheaper ones, but with it being wood it will last a lot longer.

There are lots of little toys as well that make for lovely presents.

I will be treating my MeMe, Nieces and Nephews, to lots of toys from this website.

I am going to do another post about this company the storage and furniture that they sell, so keep an eye out on that.

I hope this has has given you some Inspirations on gifs for littles ones, or just introduced you to a lovely website that you can use in the future.

Hope you're having a lovely day.

My Top 5 Christmas Advent Calendars

Here are my Top 5 Advent Calendars for this year. I just love Advent Calendars and the count down to Christmas, so I am getting very excited that we are nearly in December! (keep reading to hear how excited I get about some of these advent calendars!)

With Melissa not really knowing what Advent is, or really needing to have chocolate every day, I love the idea of these ones, so that I can either put a little treat in or an activity to do for that day.

The first one is from a blog called WhipperBerry. I just love this, and she has made this all by her self! It's looks so professional and festive! See how she has done it on the link below the image.

From Wipperberry Blog

This one is from Not on the Highstreet. Oh I just love love love this! I like how they are little houses. You could dot them around the house, and in the mornings you have to find the right numbered house with your little ones. You could tell them that they are where the little elves live, and every night one of the elves makes a present or an activity for them to open the in the morning. (oh, i'm getting myself so excited)

This one would look lovely as a decoration around the house on one of the walls, that just doubles up as an advent Calendar.

I thought this was really different with it lighting up, I think it would be lovely in the living room at night, it would make the room feel so cosy. Plus again with the elves, you could say that when the lights are on, the elves are in and are busy making a present for the next day.

If you are feeling creative this year, then why not buy one where you can paint and decorate it yourself? This one is from Hobby Craft. Below is a picture of how you can decorate it. If your little one is older then you could let them decorate it.

On my my previous post, I made a list of activities you could write and put inside the boxes, if you want to read it please click here.

I have also pinned a lot of DIY Advent Calendars on Pinterest Christmas Board, to see them please click here.

25 things to do this Christmas Time with a Toddler

Christmas Is Coming...

These are my 25 Things I would like to do this Christmas Time with MeMe. I have been thinking of putting these ideas on to a piece of paper and then putting them into a wooden Advent Calendar, with drawers. Everyday she could open up a drawer and that would be the activity we did that day.

I am going to do a Blog about my favourite Advent Calendars, the ones that are a bit different to the normal kind, that you can get at supermarkets, with chocolate inside. So keep an eye out for that.

Hope you are having a lovely day, and are starting to feel festive, like I am.

Autumn Walks

Autumn is very much here; it's getting darker a lot earlier, and it's starting to get colder. So, if you are anything like me, you will be starting to scratch your head as to what to do with a very active toddler. She doesn't understand why she used to be able play outside all day long in the summer, and now she can't as much. What I love to do with MeMe, and what she loves to do as well, is to go for a nice long walk, with Tilly, our dog. It's good exercise for me and fresh air for her.

My husbands mother, Aka 'Grannie' bought MeMe a Smart trike for her Birthday, and we have used it so much, it's brilliant! They are so easy to push around, and light too, plus MeMe LOVES sitting in it, and holding on to the handles. She is just a little too young to be able to use the pedals, but it won't be long until I'm chasing her down the street after her!

Where we live, we have a lot of walks around us perfect for pushing prams or the trike. Whilst on a walk, we decided to go into a  field where we could throw a ball for Tilly and MeMe could run around. We  found some puddles for her splash around in, in her wellies, (Peppa Pig ones of course!) as you can see from the pictures she is very much enjoying herself. MeMe loves throwing the ball for Tilly, but she can't throw it very far, and Tilly just looks at MeMe, then at the ball, as in to say "Is that it?" It's so lovely seeing how well they get on; they love each other so much.

What do you get up to, now the days are shorter days? I'd love to know so please leave a comment below, also If you enjoy reading my blogs, please feel free to follow :)
I hope you are having a lovely day.

Just the two of us!

On Our Way to London Town..

Next week my Hubby turns 30, and for the last year, all I have been doing is scratching my head, as to what to get him. I wanted to get him something he could keep, but I couldn't think of anything that one- he'd appreciate and two- wouldn't loose or gather dust. Then I thought, why not do something instead, treat him to a night away or something. That's when London came to mind. We went to London for our Honeymoon earlier this year,  but we took MeMe, and as much as we loved her being there, London is a completely different city with a baby. I wanted to go back and experience the city life, just the two of us.

I wanted to do something a little bit different and special, something he would talk about and remember for years to come. I decided to book a meal on the  River Thames Bateaux Symphony Boat, that served you a five course รก la carte menu, whilst cruising on the river, taking in all the views of London. I also booked a room at Me hotel, which isn't far away from the river. The hotel has one of  the best roof top bars in London, so let's just say for his 30th I was spoiling him.

The View from the Roof Top Bar.

Setting off and leaving MeMe was hard. I was getting very stressed packing mine and MeMe's stuff up. I haven't left her for this long before, two full days and a night. The longest has just been staying over at Nanna's house, but dropping her off at tea time, then picking her up first thing in the morning. I had no idea how she would get on. Obviously I knew she would be alright; she loves being with her Nanna, but it was the thought of being far away from her. I couldn't bring myself to leave her, when I was dropping her off. She was happy enough telling Nanna that she wanted her jigsaw out from the drawer, so I left her to it, and said my goodbyes.

We were cutting it fine getting to the train station, after all my messing around not wanting to leave MeMe. We JUST made it, after I had to get out of the car to get the tickets, while Stephen went to  park the car. When we found our seats on the train, we sat down and started to relax, and guess what we talked about... MeMe! I honestly wonder sometimes, what we talked about before she came along.

When we arrived in London, we went straight to the hotel to drop our luggage off and check in. The hotel was amazing; it was called 'ME London.' We walked in and was greeted by someone who took us upstairs to the reception, where we were handed a glass of champagne. Yes, it's the little touches like that, that make you feel like someone special even if it is just for a day or however long you are staying for. Then you leave and reality hits, but it is nice while it lasts. Back to hotel- the lobby was, well let's just say.. WOW! I have never seen anything like it; the walls went up all the way up to the top of the hotel where there was glass windows, but it went up in a triangle shape and finished in a point. If that wasn't enough to make you say wow, then having a video projected onto the marble wall of moving jellyfish certainly would. The rooms were very modern, with lots of little gadgets, which Stephen enjoyed messing around with- Men and their gadgets!

Once we dropped the luggage off, and once we had explored every bit of the hotel room and what each and every button did, we headed out for an explore of London. First stop had to be the Famous Harrods. I used to go to Harrods at Christmas with my Dad, and Sister and I just had to go back. If there is anywhere, that can get you into the Christmas spirit, its Harrods! Once we finished looking around there, (I don't think you can ever be finished in there, there is so much to look at)  we had to head back as time was ticking on and we had to get ready for the meal. When we got to the hotel, we wanted to see the roof top bar, and all the views, and lets face it, to get a cheeky glass of wine before getting ready.

Waiting to get on the boat.

Once we made it onto the boat, we took our place at our table, which was by the window, perfect for taking in all the views of London. There was music being played, at the atmosphere on the boat was lovely and very romantic. The night went down very well, and I think Stephen really enjoyed his present.

The next day, we woke up (my head slightly blurry) and got full English breakfast, and decided to have a quick look around London before heading back. We wanted to leave around tea time, but unfortunately, when I spoke to my Mum, MeMe hadn't had a brilliant night sleeping, so my Mum was shattered, so we decided to head back earlier. We took a quick trip to see the Christmas shop at Liberty's- which was amazing! Then to Hamley's. I couldn't go to London and not get something for Melissa. Well, could I pick something- No! I wanted to get her everything, I was like a kid myself; I was just going around the shop saying, "Oh she'd love this.. Oh look, She'll love that" in the end, I decided to get her a doll, which came in a little pink backpack. Good choice; as she has not let go of the Doll since we got back, she has to have it going to sleep, eating her breakfast, you name it she'll be holding 'Lolly the Dolly.'

Finally on the train home, and on our way to see our little girl. We were two very tired (slightly hungover) but very excited Parents. When you are a parent, it's so easy just to give all
your attention to your children, and don't get me wrong that's what we do, but I do think it's important to remember your relationship. It's something I can hold my hands up and say; we don't do it enough. By the end of the couple of days, we just felt reconnected as a couple and gives you a chance to appreciate each other again. Not only that, but it gives you a chance and a reason to get all dressed up, and feel good about yourself again, win, win.

That was our trip away, I hope you enjoyed reading about it. If you want to hear more blogs like this, please leave a comment below.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope you are having a lovely day.

First Time Baking With MeMe..

Today MeMe and I decided to bake cupcakes. I had no idea how it would go, I thought she might not show any interest, or want to put her hands in all the mixture then put it in her hair, which is what she loves doing with her tea. I decided to not make it complicated by doing it all from scratch, as I knew she would loose interest quickly, especially when its been ages since I have baked anything, so I wanted a nice and easy challenge.

I bought a Peppa Pig Cupcake Kit from Sainsburys, I think it was about one pound something. In the pack you get the cupcake cases, the cake mixture already made, chocolate icing sugar and some little Peppa Pig decorations to put on top. All you need is one egg and a little bit of water- fool proof!

It's so quick and easy that MeMe didn't loose interest and really enjoyed helping me Woohoo, it worked! She helped put the bun cases on the oven tray, helped with whisking the mixture (although she was trying her best to get the whisk in her mouth) and then loved decorating them. It such a good feeling trying new things, and seeing her really taking it all in, and enjoying herself.

I think our first time at baking was a success. I'm definitely going to get some more of these packs to have in the cupboard for a rainy day. Personally I don't know who enjoyed it more- Me or Melissa hehe! Great British Bake Off here we come!

Thank you for taking the time to read this, I hope you enjoyed it.
Please comment below, if you have tried baking with your little ones, or if you know of something I should try.
